Aaron Thomas Roth

Aaron's photocollages are created by printing bits and pieces of his own and found photographs onto heat transfer paper. He uses a heat gun to literally melt these photographs onto watercolor paper, creating seamless transitions between each element.

His work is primarily inspired by a concept of figures trapped in an otherworldly dimension. He wants his work to evoke an unsettling feeling for the viewer, leaving most of the story a mystery.

Aaron Thomas Roth was born in Chicago, IL and currently lives and works in Tucson, AZ. He studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York, and his work has been included in many publications and exhibitions across the United States as well as at the 2014 Dublin Biennial.
